Dear colleagues and students,
We are pleased to invite you to an exciting seminar organized by CAA Sweden on November 21, 2024, at Bifrost, Röda rummet at the Historical Museum in Stockholm. This seminar aims to gather professionals and students in archaeology, mathematics, and computer science to promote communication, share current research, and stimulate discussion and future advancements.
About CAA
CAA (Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology) is an international organization dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. Our mission is to foster dialogue between archaeologists, mathematicians, and computer scientists by providing a comprehensive overview of contemporary work in these fields and encouraging innovative discussions. CAA Sweden is a national branch with the same focus. Membership in CAA Sweden is free.
We welcome both students and researchers to present their work in an open and friendly environment. The seminar will cover a variety of themes, including but not limited to:
- Swedigarch
- CRM Archaeo
- Digital documentation (archaeology)
- Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
- Archives
- Open Linked Data

Submission Guidelines for Abstracts
To participate as a presenter, please submit an abstract of your work by October 1, 2024. The abstract should provide a clear overview of your research and its relevance to the seminar themes. Minimum 100 words, maximum 350 words. Presentations can be given in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, or English.

Deadline: October 1, 2024. Ensure your submission includes your name, institutional affiliation, and contact details. If you are not affiliated with an institution, please indicate this.

Annual Meeting
In connection with the seminar, CAA Sweden will hold its annual meeting. All members have the right to vote (you automatically become a member (free) by attending the seminar). The agenda will include, among other things, the election of the steering committee and discussions on how often we should have seminars and what they should include.
